A haven for birdwatchers, close to Doñana! In Odiel Marshes, more than 285 species with very high concentrations through the year within an area of about 7000 acres! Flamingoes, ospreys, three species of harriers, crested coot, purple gallinule, purple heron or the huge variety of waders, collared pratincole….
An amazing site to see many birds close: a high quality observation. We will cross the Biosphere Reserve of Odiel marshes and its mosaic of ecosystems. It is the most important marshland in Spain and it welcomes impressive abundance of many species of birds. Residents such as flamingo, spoonbill, marsh harrier, hoopoe, kentish plover, black-winged stilt, crested tit melt with birds migrating there to spend the winter such as osprey, curlew sandpiper, pintail, grey plover, bar-tailed and black-tailed godwit, bluethroat…Or with other birds in summer such as osprey, bee eater, crested coot, collared pratincole, montagu´s harrier, purple and squacco heron, little bittern… Or with migrating birds passing by such as artic tern, black tern, knot, spotted redshank…Wei might end the trip along El Portil lagoon.
